PLEASE NOTE – The B1115 will be closed at Bildeston from 22 June to 30 November 2026. Approaching from the south, you are advised to take the A12 and A14 to Stowmarket and follow the directions from there. Do not follow directions from Sudbury.
DIRECTIONS FROM A14 and Stowmarket. Follow B1115 signs through Stowmarket(signed Sudbury). Follow road through Gt Finborough (approx 1.5ml). After 2-3mls, village sign HITCHAM after 1 ml (look for tall mast on right). Turning on right (signposted Brettenham), in 0.75 miles, turn right at crossroads (signposted Buxhall Rattlesden), first turning on right, up long driveway, follow past farm buildings to site.
DIRECTIONS FROM Sudbury, leaving on the Lavenham Road (B1115), follow directions to Chelsworth and Bildeston and then follow signs to Stowmarket. After approx. 2 miles, pass the White Horse Public House (now a private home) and the village shop on left hand side and continue for approx 1/4 a mile. Take the first turning on the left signposted Brettenham & Bury St Edmunds and after another 1/2 a mile find a small crossroads. Turn right here, signposted Buxhall and proceed 500 yards to the CL sign.
ARRIVAL AT STANSTEAD FARM Continue down the Farm Drive for about 400 yards and pass through the five bar gate. Passing the pond on your right, follow round the farm barns and the camping pitches will be on your right hand side. Please pitch and owner will call.
